Remote support is billed as Client Consulting, DayLite Consulting or depending on the work being performed.

Remote clients can pay prior to the appointment with PayPal, unless they are on a service contract.

In 5 minutes or less, I could be controlling your Mac through the internet and helping you solve your problems.

All you need is Mac OS X and a working internet connection (preferably Broadband). As we talk on the phone, I will see what you see and I can move your mouse, train you and show you solutions. It's like having an angel on your shoulder.

If you have Leopard, double click on the iChat icon to the left.

How do I go about it?

  1. Click on the red icon above. It will begin to download the application which will be placed on your desktop.
  2. Unzip the file, by double clicking on it if you see .zip behind the name.
  3. Drag Mac Helpmate to the Applications folder.
  4. Double click it to share your screen with me. 

You are accessing my computer through the internet, doesn't that make it unsafe?

Don't worry, the data that flows through our connection is secure (Now with the AES-128 cipher, the same as FileVault, which provides unbreakable security and a 30% speed boost over version 2.1.)  and I only have access to your computer when you activate a sharing session with me.

I am behind a router or a firewall will it work?

As long as you can get to the Internet, chances are it will work. If you are working with a proxy server, there may be some additional configuration required.
